BEACH VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES

IMPLEMENTATION PRINCIPLES:

▪ OPERATION: The implementation of the tournament will be carried out by the Finike Municipality Sports Affairs Directorate.
▪ HEALTH: During the tournament, necessary health support and measures will be provided by Finike Municipality staff, and by the District Health Directorate if needed. 
▪ SECURITY: During the tournament, security will be provided by the Finike Municipality Police Department and the District Police Department.

The sandy area located on the coastline of Finike Yeni Mahalle Kent Meydanı (New Neighborhood City Square).

They must submit their complete files. A parental consent form will be required for athletes under 18 years of age.

➢ TOURNAMENT PROCESS
✓ APPLICATION DATES:
✓ Will commence on Tuesday, 25/06/2024 and conclude on Monday, 08/07/2024 at 16:00.
✓ APPLICATION FILES:
✓ Documents can be obtained from the Finike Municipality official website at https://www.finike.bel.tr/tr/duyurular and from the officials at the Finike Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Directorate's additional service building office, where complete application documents can also be submitted.

✓ DRAWING OF LOTS : : will be held on Monday, 08/07/2024 at 18:00 at Finike Sports Hall.

Technical Meeting and Fixture Draw - Representatives of applying teams must attend. Those who do not attend the draw will not be able to raise any objections regarding the draw results.

TOURNAMENT DURATION: The tournament will commence on Wednesday, 10/07/2024 at 19:00. The tournament will proceed according to the fixture. 

GAME RULES

• For matches, the team roster will consist of 6 athletes. A total of maximum 6 athletes, including 4 main players and 2 substitute players, can be on the field. One female athlete is mandatory in the team rosters. More than one female athlete may also be included. Each team will have a team manager or coach.
• Athletes born in 2009 or earlier may participate in the matches.
• Matches will be played over 3 sets. The team winning 2 sets will be victorious.
• Final matches will be played over 5 sets. (Quarter-final, Semi-final, Final)
• Objections in the tournament must be made to the table referees during or at the end of the match. The decisions of the match referees will be binding.
• There are no provincial, district, or national restrictions for the tournament to be held in Finike. 
• The game rules will be applied by us, based on the established beach volleyball rules and the rules determined by the Organizing Committee.
• Whether the matches will be played in an elimination format or group stage will be determined by the number of participating teams.
• Time-outs in matches will be 2 minutes each.
• Teams will have 1 time-out per set.
• If group matches are played in the tournament, excluding eliminations, each won set will be awarded 1 point to the team. In case of a tie in points at the end of group matches, the team with the most total points scored will rank higher.
• Teams that do not submit their team roster by the scheduled match start time and do not appear on the court within 5 minutes after the match start time will be declared to have forfeited the match.
• Matches will be officiated by authorized referees appointed by Finike Municipality.
• Teams that start the match at the scheduled match start time but collectively abandon the match and leave the court during the match will be deemed to have lost by forfeiture with a score of 3-0.
• In the event of any athlete(s) acting unsportingly, or verbally or physically insulting referees, opponents, the Tournament Organizing Committee, or spectators during the tournament, the offending teams will be immediately expelled from the tournament without any further penalty being applied.
• NOTE: The right to make any changes regarding the tournament is reserved by the Tournament Organizing Committee.

          The authority to appoint Tournament Committee members rests with the Finike Mayor, who may seek support from public institutions and organizations in the district as members if needed.
