Finike Municipality 4th Beach Volleyball Tournament

RULES AND PROCESS
Applications for the tournament will commence on Friday, May 30, 2025, and will close on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 17:30. The tournament draw will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 17:00 in the meeting hall of the Finike Municipality Main Service Building. Our tournament will commence on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 19:00.

  • Matches will commence with 4 active players and 2 substitutes ready on court. If a team member is injured during play and no substitute is available, the team may continue with 3 players. However, if a team is reduced to 2 players on the court during the match for any reason (due to injury or penalty), the match will result in a defeat by forfeit.
  • Matches will be played as best-of-three sets. The team winning 2 sets will be declared the winner.
  • Final stage matches (Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, Finals) will be played as best-of-five sets.
  • Objections during the tournament must be submitted in writing to the Organizing Committee during the match.
  • Active licensed players (within the 2024-2025 league season) are not permitted to participate in the tournament (excluding players under the age of 16).
  • Matches will be officiated by official or designated referees in accordance with established volleyball rules.
  • Matches will be played in a knockout or round-robin format depending on the number of registrations.
  • Once the tournament begins, no player additions or roster changes will be permitted under any circumstances until the conclusion of the tournament.
  • Timeouts during matches will be 1 minute each. Each team will be entitled to 1 timeout per set.
  • Teams are required to have at least 1 female player on their roster, though they are not required to be active on the court.
  • Any service made before the referee's whistle is blown will be repeated by referee decision.
  • All players must be present at the court 20 minutes before the scheduled match start time.
  • The service rotation must be submitted to the table officials before the start of the match.
  • Any team failing to appear on the court within 5 minutes of the scheduled match start time will be deemed defeated by forfeit.
  • Dress Code: For the discipline and prestige of the tournament, it is essential and mandatory for the entire team to wear matching t-shirts and shorts, or matching jerseys and shorts. Teams failing to comply with the specified dress code will be deemed defeated by forfeit.  (The use of shoes and slippers is prohibited.)
  • It is mandatory to display a designated jersey number from 1 to 99 on either the front or back of the jersey or t-shirt.
  • In accordance with volleyball rules, rotation, positioning, and line-up systems will be implemented throughout the matches.


PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Medical report or letter of undertaking
  • Photocopy of ID
  • Parental consent form if under 18 years of age
