Metropolitan Municipality Delegation Visits Finike

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir visited Finike. Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi hosted Deputy Mayor Özdemir, who participated in the orange harvest after visiting the Finike Municipality and the CHP Finike District Presidency.

Demands were articulated

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir, who came to Finike for a series of visits, visited the Finike Municipality, the CHP Finike District Presidency, and participated in the orange harvest. During the visits, accompanied by Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi, the ongoing works of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in Finike, future support to be provided, and requests and suggestions specific to the district were discussed.

Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi stated that the Metropolitan Municipality has undertaken highly significant projects for Finike, saying, “Our Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has made very important investments in our district to date, particularly concerning Finike’s square and infrastructure. We have taken steps together in many areas, from agricultural support for our tradesmen, farmers, women, children, and youth, to educational support, investments that will add value to our products, and projects supporting our tradesmen.”

Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi also stated that they are currently going through a difficult period, adding, “However, service never stops or takes a break. Our Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir also undertook a challenging task during this process, committing herself for our homeland. Now, we will work even harder together for a better Finike and Antalya.”

Özdemir: I derive great pleasure from being in Finike

Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir, expressing great happiness to be in Finike, stated that the district is the pearl of Antalya. Deputy Mayor Özdemir, stating that Finike is Antalya's agricultural production base and the homeland of oranges, said, “Our Finike is one of Antalya's most special districts, with its agricultural production, developing boutique tourism, nature, and ancient history. We will continue to increase the services Finike deserves, just as in the past, in the coming days.”

Özdemir Emphasizes Unity

Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir also met with District President Abdullah Şengül and party members at the Finike CHP District Presidency, listening to the party members alongside Finike Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi. During the meeting, where unity and solidarity were emphasized, Deputy Mayor Özdemir wished success to the new district administration in their work. 

On-site inspection of the orange harvest

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Büşra Özdemir, who also conducted an on-site inspection of Finike’s world-famous orange production and harvest, received information about production and the season from Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi.  Mayor Mustafa Geyikçi, stating that Finike Orange is the region's most significant economic value, said, “Oranges hold immense importance for our district. 

With the support of our Metropolitan Municipality, we always strive to stand by our farmers and producers,” he stated.

Deputy Mayor Özdemir, stating that Finike holds great agricultural importance and that the development of the district's economy significantly contributes to Antalya's economy, wished the producers a fruitful season free from disasters.
