General Disclosure Text on the Processing of Personal Data
Identity of the Data Controller
As the Municipality of Finike, we place the utmost importance on the security of the personal data of our citizens and respect your privacy. In this regard, we present to your attention below the conditions under which all your personal data is obtained, how it is processed, our sensitivity towards its protection, and your rights regarding this personal information, within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (the “Law”).
Definitions
In this disclosure text;
Personal Data: Refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person,
Data Subject: Refers to the natural person whose personal data is processed,
Personal Data Protection Law (“KVKK”): Refers to the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, which entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2016,
Data Processor: Refers to the natural or legal person who processes Personal Data on behalf of the data controller, based on the authority granted by the data controller,
Data Controller: Refers to the natural or legal person who determines the purposes and means of processing Personal Data, and who is responsible for the establishment and management of the data filing system.
Processing of personal data refers to any operation performed on data, such as obtaining, recording, storing, preserving, altering, reorganizing, disclosing, transferring, taking over, making available, classifying, or preventing the use thereof. In accordance with Law No. 6698, any information that makes your identity identified or identifiable may be processed by the Municipality of Finike in the capacity of Data Controller, within the scope of the definition of "Personal Data" above.
Your personal data is processed, recorded, transferred, shared, and stored in the manner explained below and within the limits determined by official legislation.
Collection of Your Personal Data
Your personal data is collected for various reasons, particularly the relevant regulations and legislation in the laws to which Municipalities are subject, as listed below:

Your personal data is collected:
- Through information you provide verbally, in writing, electronically, or via printed forms to our employees or suppliers to obtain information about our services,
- Within the scope of our activities related to the execution of services provided by the Municipality of Finike, through information requested by us or submitted by you personally, verbally, in writing, in person, or via forms or applications on our website, due to the services you request from the Municipality of Finike,
- Through business cards provided and information forms filled out in a physical or virtual environment, face-to-face or remotely, verbally, in writing, or electronically for purposes such as establishing a commercial relationship with the Municipality of Finike, or submitting/requesting bids,
- For the purpose of job applications, through CVs submitted via ISKUR or in person, electronically or physically,
- During tenders held, within the scope of relevant laws and regulations, through the personal data of supplier employees submitted to us,
- Through information and documents submitted to us for pre-registration/registration for ongoing or future educational and training services such as study centers, music academies, daycares, sports schools, etc.,
- Through forms you fill out to participate in cultural, artistic, and sporting activities such as cinema, theater, concerts, sports competitions, book distribution, etc.,
- Within the scope of social assistance and solidarity services,
- Through any photos and videos obtained by our press and publication unit from events, special days, visits of our Mayor, street interviews, and activities carried out within the scope of social services,
- Through complaints, requests, and suggestions you have submitted to us,
- Through security cameras inside and around the service buildings of the Municipality of Finike, as well as at service points,
- Through your IP addresses obtained via cookies on our E-Municipality page during your visits to our website.
Processing of Your Personal Data
Your personal data is processed for the following reasons:
- To record all data subject data into the enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and process it limited to the service in order to maintain service processes technologically,
- To make necessary notifications to relevant public institutions and organizations to fulfill legal obligations pursuant to applicable laws and legislation,
- To evaluate job candidate applications and carry out recruitment, and to maintain the business processes of recruited personnel (employees, interns, apprentices, etc.),
- To evaluate and resolve your complaints, requests, and suggestions submitted to us, and to ensure the establishment of your rights arising from applicable laws and legislation,
- To prevent illegal activities and those that may constitute a crime,
- To conduct research using various methods to measure citizen satisfaction,
- To ensure physical venue security, public safety, and occupational safety inside and around the service buildings of the Municipality of Finike,
- For supply and subcontracting services, where necessary within the scope of the services we perform,
- For announcement and information purposes, to share images obtained through the methods mentioned above on our municipality's social media accounts, our website, or in writing or visually through press and media organizations,
- To carry out municipal activities such as marriage registration, funeral services, healthcare services, elderly care, etc.,
- To carry out the necessary communication activities for the execution of services such as daycares, courses, study centers, etc.,
- To perform legal procedures that may be required in accordance with relevant laws and regulations,
- To use cookie information to collect visitor statistics and structural cookies required for you to receive faster and more efficient service from our website,
- To carry out e-municipal transactions on our website in line with the establishment of your rights.
Storage of Your Personal Data
Your personal data, the collection and processing conditions of which are explained above, will be stored confidentially in the database and systems of the Municipality of Finike in line with the guidelines of the "Technical and Administrative Measures Guide", and will not be shared with third parties under any circumstances, except for legal obligations and the regulations specified in this document.
Pursuant to Article 12 of the KVKK, the Municipality of Finike is obliged to prevent the unlawful processing of personal data, prevent access by unauthorized persons, and take software-related measures such as access management, as well as physical security measures for the systems and databases where your personal data is hosted. In the event that it is learned that personal data has been obtained by others through unlawful means, the situation will be reported immediately, in writing and in accordance with legal regulations, to the Personal Data Protection Board.
Transfer of Your Personal Data
Your personal data is transferred to relevant institutions and organizations within the scope of Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and related regulations for the purposes described above, in order to perform and record the services we are legally obliged to provide. Furthermore, in cases where data transfer is required, restricted to the reason necessitating the transfer, your data is transferred under certain confidentiality agreement terms to service providers such as information technology, archiving, printing, card printing, and distribution companies whose domestic services are utilized, and to other third-party legal entities with whom we cooperate. Your personal data is not transferred abroad.
Cases Where Explicit Consent Is Not Required
- It is clearly prescribed by law,
- It is mandatory for the protection of life or physical integrity of the person or of another person who is physically incapable of giving their consent or whose consent is not legally valid,
- It is necessary to process the personal data of the parties to a contract, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract,
- It is mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation,
- It has been made public by the data subject themselves,
- Data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right,
- Cases where it is mandatory for the Municipality of Finike to fulfill its legal obligation.
Retention Periods of Your Personal Data
In accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, your personal data is stored for the periods prescribed by law, depending on the type of personal data and the reasons for its processing.
Rights of the Data Subject
Within the framework of the Law, regarding your personal data, you have the right to:
- Learn what information we hold about you,
- Learn whether your personal data is processed,
- Request information if your personal data has been processed,
- Learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used in accordance with this purpose,
- Know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
- Request correction if your personal data is processed incompletely or inaccurately,
- Request the deletion, destruction, or anonymization of your personal data within the framework of the conditions laid down in Article 7 of the KVKK in the event that the reasons requiring its processing cease to exist,
- Request notification of these operations (deletion or correction) to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,
- Object to any consequence to your detriment arising from the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems,
- Claim compensation for damages in the event that you suffer damage due to the unlawful processing of your personal data.
Within the scope of the relevant law, if you submit your requests regarding your personal data to us through one of the communication channels specified below, by filling out the application form in the link below, your application requests will be answered in writing within 30 (thirty) days at the latest depending on the nature of the request, in accordance with Article 13 of the Law.
If the requested transaction requires an additional cost, the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board will be applied. If the request is rejected, the reason(s) for rejection will be justified in writing or electronically.
Our KVKK Application Communication Channels
Pursuant to Article 13/1 of the KVKK, you may exercise your rights specified above and submit your requests in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board to our Municipality. The written application channels you can use within the scope of Article 11 of the KVKK are listed below:
